Our specialist knowledge and services have earned us a reputation as being an authority in the field of cast iron radiator renovation.

If you have existing cast iron radiators that have seen better days, we offer a professional renovation service; anything from repainting and pressure testing, replacing a leaking seal, to completely stripping down and rebuilding your cherished radiator.

There’s a range of things we can do to your cast iron radiators. Depending on the state of your radiators, what you would like us to do and, of course, how much you want to spend. However, do remember that the renovation of any antique can be a complex process; you can never be sure of what you’ll find until you start tinkering! Consequently, one service may develop into another and prices may vary.

  • For a seal replacement service, we dismantle your radiator and replace the seals in between the sections therefore rectifying any leaks that are occurring between the sections. For this service, we don’t undertake any cosmetic work such as blast cleaning or repainting. Your radiators will come back to you looking exactly the same (or maybe a little worse because of the work we have had to do on them).

  • Our radiator refurbishment service will make sure your radiators look gorgeous (stripping the paint, relocating bushes, renewing bleed valves or nipples and re-painting). We don’t however separate the sections or replace seals.

  • The most labour intensive and involved of all our services, we will dismantle your radiator completely into its component parts. We strip the paint, replace the seals, and renew the bleed valves or nipples. After this, we rebuild your radiator and beautifully re-paint it.

  • We generally undertake a mixed service if we encounter a problem with a radiator that has come to us for refurbishment. Perhaps a pressure test has uncovered a leaking seal or a crack in a section. To save you money and unnecessary work, a combination of a refurbishment service and a seal replacement service is undertaken. We fix or replace only the parts that are proven to be damaged or not functioning as they should.
